Winemaking Internship in the Heart of Napa

Job Description:

Boeschen Vineyards is a very small family-owned vineyard and winery committed to making the best possible estate wines.
We run the business, make the wine, perform 100% of the cellar work and farm our 11-acre estate vineyard.
We are guided by commitment to our family, the wines we craft, the community we live in and the environment that sustains us.

We are currently looking for an energetic and driven individual to help with all aspects of winemaking during our harvest season. Sept. 1st-Nov. 3rd.
Here are some but not all of the Winemaking intern's activities to be expected:

Fruit receival and processing
Equipment Sanitation (processing equipment, tanks, pumps, hoses, parts etc)
Fermentation Monitoring (Barrel, T-bin, and tank ferments)
Nutrient additions
Yeast inoculations
Pump-Overs, and punch-downs
Wine and juice sampling
Ongoing sensory analysis (tasting, smelling, listening)
Draining and pressing
Racking wine
Barrel Work: cleaning, steaming, filling, transfers etc.
Organization
Gathering data
And so much more!

Must be happy to work in a small team, be timely, not use your cellphone in the cellar, and be kind to everyone in stressful situations.

Although we'd love it if you have some harvests under your belt no experience is necessary; just a great attitude and a willingness to work with your both your brain and your muscles at the same time.
