Job Description:

Quivira Vineyards & La Follette Wines is looking for a Cellar Supervisor to lead our cellar team. This is a role with a diverse set of responsibilities and is integral to our success. We specialize in estate-grown Dry Creek Valley wines and you'll work directly with our Winemaking team to help us to thoughtfully craft each of our lots. This position is cellar focused but will have duties throughout the winery in all aspects of the winemaking process and will provide an excellent opportunity to grow into a leadership role.

You’ll make an impact by:
•  Managing our Cellar team to accomplish daily goals set out by Winemaking.
•  Being the conduit for communication between the Cellar and Winemaking.
•  Performing cellar work focused on creating wines of the highest quality.
•  Reviewing current Cellar protocols and striving to improve them.
•  Training our harvest interns.
•  Providing oversight and leadership to our existing Cellar crew.
•  Cellar work order writing and entry in our production software.
•  Managing equipment maintenance and repair schedules.
•  Managing various inventories and ordering.
•  Additional tasks as needed to ensure Cellar success.

You’ll bring:
•  A desire to make great wine!
•  At least 5 years of Cellar work, preferably with some supervisory experience.
•  Strong forklift skills.
•  A positive, team-focused approach.
•  Great communication skills.
•  A willingness to work independently.
•  A familiarity with Microsoft apps and some experience with using production software.
•  Capability to work long days & weekends.
•  Basic arithmetic and measurement skills .
•  The ability to lift and carry 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, climb stairs and ladders and work in a safe and efficient manner.
