Job Description:

Join our dynamic team at Twin Star Cider Works, where we craft some of the finest ciders in America. As a Cidery Cellar Hand, you'll play a crucial role in the production process, contributing to every stage from cleaning and fermenting to bottling and canning. This position requires hard work, but it's also incredibly rewarding to be part of a team dedicated to creating exceptional ciders.

Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Sanitizing: Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment, tanks, and work areas to maintain high-quality standards and prevent contamination.

Fermentation Management: Assist in monitoring and managing the fermentation process, including checking temperatures, taking gravity readings, and ensuring yeast health.

Pumping Operations: Operate pumps and other equipment to transfer cider between tanks and vessels during various stages of production.

Bottling and Canning: Participate in bottling and canning operations, including setup, quality control checks, and packaging of finished products.

Cellar Work: Assist with cellar tasks such as racking, filtering, blending, and aging ciders to achieve desired flavor profiles and quality standards.

Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of cider inventory, including raw materials and finished products, and assist in inventory counts as needed.

Quality Assurance: Help uphold our commitment to producing top-quality ciders by monitoring product quality throughout the production process and addressing any issues promptly.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members in a positive and supportive manner, fostering a healthy and inclusive team environment.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in team meetings and provide input for process improvements and innovation in cider production.

Qualifications:

Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Preferred but not Required:

Previous experience in a production environment, preferably in a brewery, cidery, winery, or food manufacturing setting.
Knowledge of cider production processes and equipment is a plus, but not required - we're willing to train the right candidate.
