The Human Resources and Payroll department are the core of any successful organization. An individual who drives proactive thinking, ensures a high degree of confidentiality, and appreciates engaging in quick, informative conversations will assist in the overall well-being of company personnel. NW Wine Company, a leading winemaking facility in the Northwest, is seeking to find the next payroll processing coordinator to aid in the development of the department and the company. We are located in Dundee Oregon and have vineyard operations as well as wine production, distribution and a tasting room.

Duties/Responsibilities:
•  Process payroll for 90+ employees during slow season and 125+ during harvest and associated payroll tax reports for all employees (including calculating garnishments,
commissions, bonuses, and PTO) on a Bi- monthly basis
•  Pay all payroll tax liabilities associated with payroll
•  Collect and summarize timekeeping information for accurate payroll processing
•  Record employee information, such as exemptions and resignations in order to maintain and update payroll records
•  Process all quarterly and annual payroll tax reports
•  Compile complex journal entries related to payroll for month end close
•  Manage many internal wage and payroll related spreadsheets
•  Process accounts payable invoices related to payroll and accounting
•  Assist HR director as needed

Requirements:
•  Proficient knowledge of Quickbooks payroll and Microsoft Office
•  High volume payroll, bookkeeper, accounting, or HR assistant experience preferred
•  Proven experience in an administrative role
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•  Aptitude in problem-solving and ability to work well under pressure
•  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:
•  3-5 years experience in payroll processing
•  Degree in Accounting or related field
•  Wine Industry experience
