Brasswood Cellars is looking for Harvest Interns to join us for the 2024 season. If you are a hardworking, passionate person who pays attention to detail and thrives in a bustling, team-driven environment then look no further! All levels of experience will be considered, but we’d prefer at least 1-2 harvests prior experience. We are a tight knit group looking for some key team players during harvest. We work hard, but try to make it a fun, engaging, learning environment.

Wondering what you’d do?—Our Harvest Interns:
•  Assist in processing fruit to tank, tank sanitation, and cleaning equipment and winery.
•  Manage fermentations via pumpovers, punchdowns, Brix and temp checks, additions and inoculations.
•  Perform basic sampling
•  Work with a lot of barrels: cleaning and sanitation, filling, racking, battonage, and topping.
•  Become skilled at the following cellar work: managing tank headspace, pump operations (air, PC, and bulldog), forklifting, pallet-jacking.
•  Work with seasoned staff on Red and White Press Operations.

What if you’re a Lab Intern?—You’ll:
•  Perform basic lab analysis (pH, VA, SO2,TA, Alc.)
•  Pull samples of juice, wine, and grapes
•  Run enzymatics for malic, G/F, YAN, NOPA
•  Help Cellar crew with Yeast inoculations and additions
•  Maintain product inventory in VinTrace
•  In essence, you’ll learn the science behind the art!

You are--
•  Passionate about winemaking and learning new things
•  Ready to work hard, positive and have a great team player attitude.
•  Organized, great attention to detail, and possess great problem solving skills.
•  Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
•  Able to work day or night shifts with extended hours. Weekend work is expected.
•  Able to read, write and perform simple arithmetic.
•  Able to work in small confined spaces and high places.
•  Able to stand for long periods of time.
•  Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
•  A foodie? Excellent! Most of us at Brasswood love to cook as well as geek out on wine!
