Position/Title: Bottling/Canning Mechanic Supervisor
Location: Napa, CA
Type of Work: Salaried, Full-time
Salary Range: $66,560.00-$74,000.00


Position Summary:
Growing custom crush winery located in Napa seeks bright, energetic, experienced bottling manager to facilitate bottling activities for winery and clients. The Bottling/Canning Mechanic Supervisor will be responsible for packaging materials, line schedule and leading the operator team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•  Communicates regularly with the production team to maintain bottling schedule accuracy.
•  Work with Bottling/Canning Manager to oversee the receipt, handling, and short-term storage of bottling materials.
•  Ensures that all wines are compliantly packaged in the correct packaging materials.
•  Ensures all bottling work orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
•  Effectively collaborates with Bottling/Canning Manager to ensure the lines are operating at peak performance.
•  Promotes teamwork and supports a healthy, professional environment for all winery personnel.
•  Ability to work with the team to ensure that projects are completed successfully.
•  Performs preventative and predictive maintenance, calibration and testing of industrial canning and bottling equipment.
•  Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems and performs repairs to equipment.
•  Disassembles/reassembles, repairs, constructs, overhauls, maintains, and installs all types of new and existing bottling, canning equipment, and conveying, hydraulic and air systems.
•  Performs installation, start up and shut down of equipment in accordance with company safety procedures.
•  Perform daily inspection of canning and bottling equipment.
•  Maintain spare parts inventory.
•  Train staff on proper operation of bottling and canning machinery.
•  Rebuild parts as needed.
•  Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment related problems such as mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and electronic.
•  Provide emergency unscheduled repairs of equipment as needed.
•  Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service.
•  Keep records of repairs and develop or make necessary changes to planned maintenance schedule.
•  Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and other tools to complete repairs
•  Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area

Requirements/Qualifications:
•  3+ years bottling/canning experience in wine industry
•  1+ years supervisory experience in a winery or beverage facility
•  Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinate and document workflow, juggle and meet tight deadlines.
•  Takes initiative and shows commitment to the organization – in a hands on manner
•  Solid organization skills
•  Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
•  Spanish speaking skills a plus
•  Excellent team building skills.
•  Excellent customer service skills
•  Computer skills including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
•  Ability to lift 50 lbs.
•  Additional tasks as requested by the Bottling/Canning manager.
•  You can work overtime as required, especially at Harvest.
•  Ability to be a team player, an effective communicator, adaptive, self-directed, and organized.
•  Demonstrated desire to learn.
