About the Role



The Lead Tasting Room Associate is an ambassador to all guest interactions through pouring and selling wines, hosting tastings, guiding tours and welcoming all visitors. The Lead Tasting Room Associate will act as shift supervisor to lead by example and direct daily activities of Hospitality Sales Associates in partnership with the Assistant Hospitality Sales Manager.



Key Responsibilities include:


* Set-up and host wine tastings and tours for guests
* Act as a backup for other Hospitality Specialists who are conducting tastings and tours
* Manage breaks and lunches for assigned team during daily shifts
* Train hospitality staff to achieve both financial results and meet guest experience expectations
* Operate cash registers
* Promote wine clubs
* Pack wine for retail orders.
* Assist in events, private dinners and various site activities
* Assist Merchandise Dept. with restocking, inventory and floor upkeep
* Provide world class customer service to site visitors
* Follow site policies and procedures.
* Complete projects and other duties as directed by Retail Sales Manager



About You


* You have a minimum of 2 years' wine sales, restaurant and/or hospitality service experience
* You are self-motivated, highly organized, and require minimal day-to-day direction
* You can effectively communicate in English with all levels of employees and consumers, written and spoken, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
* You are able to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.
* You have a strong knowledge of Napa Valley area, food and wine market in preferred
* You have a basic understanding of wine and winemaking.
* You must be able to travel on occasion to other Company locations.
* You must be able to lift 40 pounds.
* You must be at least 21 years of age
* You must have a clean professional appearance and be able to represent TWE internally and externally

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay range offered for this position is $26.50 to $29.75 per hour and other benefits. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work out of our Rutherford, CA location. If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
