Wine Club Manager
The Wine Club Manager will oversee all aspects of Castoro Cellars and Bethel Rd. Wine Club programs, including membership growth, engagement, retention, fulfillment, and events. We’re looking for someone who combines excellent customer service with strong computer and organizational skills, someone just as comfortable crafting a captivating email campaign as they are educating guests in the tasting room. This role requires a balance of strategic planning, customer service, and hands-on execution. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about wine, thrives in a customer-facing environment, and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Essential Functions of this Job:
Membership Management
Develop and implement strategies to grow the Wine Club membership and reduce attrition.
Serve as the primary point of contact for Wine Club members, ensuring exceptional communication and service.
Manage multiple club options including customizable and subscription-based models.
Track and analyze membership and sales metrics, providing regular reporting to leadership.
Maintain accurate customer data and use Commerce 7 to track membership activity and performance.
Train tasting room staff on wine club benefits and effective sales strategies.
Answer phone calls and emails from members in a timely and professional manner.
Fulfillment & Logistics
Oversee quarterly club shipments, including wine selection, inventory coordination, and compliance with state/federal shipping laws.
Oversee on-site fulfilment of quarterly club packing and shipments, including securing products, print and marketing materials and labor to ensure the timely packing and shipping of each shipment.
Implement Quality Control processes to ensure each club shipment is packed correctly.
Manage member account information, billing, and shipping preferences.
Marketing & Engagement
Collaborate with marketing to create engaging Wine Club communications, promotions, and newsletters.
Manage and grow our wine club through targeted outreach, promotions, and onsite engagement.
Facilitate email and text sales campaigns, oversee prompt fulfillment of orders.
Develop exclusive member events (virtual and in-person) to enhance loyalty and drive sales.
Build content that educates members about wines, pairings, and the Castoro and Bethel Rd. story.
Help maintain the wine club’s website ensuring that it is current. Make and/or coordinate any adjustments as needed.
Support the promotion of the club’s benefits, events, and special offers to attract new members and retain current ones.
Tasting Room & Event Support
Engage with customers and members in the tasting room setting, providing an elevated experience.
Lead customers through the tasting of Castoro & Bethel Rd. wines with an engaging and fun attitude.
Serve as the Tasting Room Lead on busy days and during events.
Share the story and history of both brands, while promoting the Wine Club and benefits.
Organize and host Wine Club pick-up parties, tastings, and VIP experiences.
Represent Castoro Cellars and Bethel Rd at festivals, industry events, and on-site promotions when needed.
Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Business, or related field (preferred).
3+ years of experience in wine, hospitality, customer service, or membership-based programs.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Knowledge of wine and winery operations is strongly preferred.
Strong computer skills, including experience with POS systems and email marketing platforms.
Highly organized with a sharp eye for detail.
Ability to be flexible and coachable in a fast-paced environment with high expectations.
Event coordination experience is a plus.
Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs and work evenings and weekends.
