SUMMARY
The Experience Manager will provide exceptional hospitality and service for our clients and guests across all our unique tasting experiences. The ability to timely run all aspects of our tasting experiences from opening, hosting, closing, and processing all orders will be a formative part of the job. In addition to showcasing our wines (Makk Wine, LLC: Antica Terra, Lillian, and the Glories) we also highlight a rotation of global wines we are fortunate to pour and represent. Bringing an elevated level of excitement for the world of wine, with an eagerness to learn is core to our success within our wine program.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Exemplify our brand and mission in all aspects of the work, at every moment
- Provide beautiful service and hospitality for our clients and guests, providing a unique and educational experience to all visitors
- Ensure cleanliness of all department spaces, guest-facing and back of house; prior to, during, and after tastings
- Open, set up, and close the tasting spaces; prepare menus and food for accompanying experiences, and collect all necessary information to process sales
- Understand and contribute to hospitality sales goals
- Promote current events, memberships, and offerings to all guests
- Show dedication to building knowledge of wines from the Willamette Valley and beyond
- Maintain relationships & knowledge of other Willamette Valley winery experiences
- Execute assignments as directed by the Director of Hospitality
- Assist with inventory tracking and restocking of our cellar
- Manage the hospitality team by coordinating staffing and assignments; problem solving creatively, and leading by example
- Fulfill all standard functions of the Host/Ambassador role
- Uphold service standards and best practices through daily pre-shifts, side work assignments and maintenance of the hospitality spaces
- Manage line level employee lifecycle systems, including and not limited to hiring and terminations, employee development, scheduling and payroll
- Provide on-time, weekly gratuity and monthly commission reporting to the Director of Hospitality
- Oversee department supply chain management (purchasing) for non-culinary related materials
- Develop, implement, and maintain daily operating systems and commensurate documentation, including and not limited to steps of service, side work, checklists, SOPs
- Support onsite responsibilities for shipping and fulfillment logistics
- Partner with Director of Hospitality and Head Sommelier to deliver staff training and support
- Participate in monthly inventory counts and organizational processes
- Act as primary manager on duty (“MOD”) during non-administrative workdays
- Support planning and participate in special events

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Strong, global wine knowledge is required
- High level of integrity and dependability
- Minimum 3 years in a high-touch hospitality management role
- Demonstrated passion and knowledge for wine and outstanding customer service
- Tasting room, restaurant, or other high-touch sales experience
- Very confident in fine wine appreciation and luxury wine category understanding
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and all relevant POS and e-commerce platforms
- Available to work weekends (required)
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to safely lift 40 lbs. and stand and walk for long periods of time
- OLCC permit required

WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions include an office environment, processing facility, vineyard, barrel room, outdoors (Spring/Summer/Fall) and cellar.
