Under the direction of the Director DTC, our Wine Club Manager supports sales and marketing strategies for wine club growth and retention. Responsibilities include carrying out day-to-day operations of the wine club, promoting membership and benefits, hosting wine club members at events, communicating with members through multiple channels, interacting with visitors, assisting in resolving customer inquiries, and training staff on wine club best practices.

What we will ask you to do:
• Supports development of and executes annual member club allocation plans, pricing, scheduling to support achievement of departmental sales and growth goals.
• Maintains, revises and monitors tasks related to DTC/Wine Club master calendar
• Makes recommendations to the DTC Director for strategic imperatives for wine club growth.
• Collaborates with DTC Director and Marketing Director on updating and creating collateral communications and collateral
• Reviews metrics to improve wine club purchase behavior, membership retention, new customer acquisition and cancellations.
• Collaborates with Events Manager to research and propose wine club event ideas.
• Routinely works in Wine Club area to assess and ensure guest experience adhere to highest standards of customer service through proper training, SOP’s on steps of service and leading by example.
• Supports development, communication and implementation of member benefits and loyalty programs for Wine Club (birthday, anniversary communications), and other member categories (e.g Partner benefit groups such as Exclusive Resorts)
• Works with marketing, hospitality and events team to deliver best in class wine club experiences and events.
What you should bring to the table:
• College degree or equivalent experience and training in hospitality, sales, marketing or other related field
• Five years of experience in customer service and/or club operations and competence with sales and marketing skills, or a combination thereof
• Solid knowledge of winemaking, from vine to wine and a succinct summary of the process for making of both red and white wines
• Commendable knowledge of the Napa Valley growing regions, including varietals at Cakebread Cellars vineyards and the most common varietals in each viticulture area
• Solid working knowledge of Salesforce systems for order and customer account management, Customer Relationship Management software including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, POS systems and MS Suite
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with motivation and enthusiasm
• Must be flexible with schedule at times to include occasional off-site events on evenings and/or weekends
