Long Shadows Vintners is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Tasting Room Manager to lead our hospitality program and tasting room operations. This leadership role blends strategic vision with hands-on execution, requiring someone who brings warmth, energy, and creativity to every guest interaction while driving strong sales, membership growth and new customer acquisition. The ideal candidate combines big-picture leadership with an active presence in the tasting room—able to design elevated guest experiences and foster a positive, high-performing team culture built on professionalism, respect, teamwork and authentic hospitality.

Success in this position requires close collaboration with the Director of Marketing, Tasting Room Wine Educators, and the DTC Manager, as you balance the following key responsibilities:

1. Operational Oversight
•  Supervise day-to-day tasting room operations.
•  Ensure facilities are clean, welcoming, and in line with brand standards.
•  Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs).
2. Staff Management
•  Hire, train, schedule, and supervise all tasting room staff.
•  Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
•  Foster a positive team culture focused on hospitality and sales.
3. Guest Experience
•  Ensure a premium and consistent guest experience for all visitors.
•  Handle VIP visits, large groups, and special requests.
•  Resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
4. Sales and Revenue Management
•  Drive direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales through tastings, wine clubs, and merchandise.
•  Monitor and analyze sales performance, conversion rates, and key metrics.
•  Develop and implement strategies to increase wine club sign-ups and member retention.
5. Event Coordination
•  Plan and execute on-site events, private tastings, and member-exclusive experiences.
•  Coordinate logistics with marketing, catering, and hospitality teams.
6. Inventory and Financial Management
•  Oversee wine, merchandise, and supply inventory.
•  Manage budgets, track expenses, and ensure profitability.
•  Prepare regular financial and operational reports for upper management.
7. Marketing and Collaboration
•  Collaborate with marketing teams on promotions, campaigns, and seasonal offerings.
•  Support digital efforts like online reservations, reviews, and social media presence.
8. Compliance and Safety
•  Ensure adherence to Washington State Liquor Board laws and other regulatory requirements.
•  Maintain safety standards for both employees and guests.
Qualifications:

•  5+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, winery, or luxury retail environments
•  Strong attention to detail
•  High emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills: a brand ambassador and storyteller
•  Skilled in cultivating a positive team culture, while training and developing new team members
•  Creative problem solver who is able to adapt and grow within the business
•  Self-starter, good listener, clear communicator, positive team player, multi-tasker
•  A hands-on leader who motivates by example
•  Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
•  Experience with or ability to learn digital POS and reservation systems.
•  Valid Class 12 MAST Permit from Washington State Liquor Board and Food Handler’s Permit
•  Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

Compensation:
$60,OOO.OO - $70,OOO.OO + Bonus Opportunity
