Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding, positive customer service at all times
Actively promote sales and wine club memberships in order to create brand loyalty and retention
Maintain a gracious demeanor at all times particularly during high traffic times
Represent the winery and our product with professionalism, enthusiasm, knowledge and accurate detail
Opening/closing duties as determined
Daily operation of POS system
Uphold visual standards of the tasting room at all times
Assist customers with recommendations and or reservations for tasting, dining, recreation in the valley
Participation in staff meetings, tastings and educational experiences
Qualifications:
Minimum 6 months wine industry or hospitality experience preferred
Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
Excellent communication skills as part of a dynamic team
Zealous attention to detail
Knowledge of wine, winemaking and viticultural techniques preferred or a strong enthusiasm to learn (often self-directed)
Ability to manage priorities and workflow, time management
Ability to lift up to 45lbs on repeated basis
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Knowledge of Orderport and Tock highly preferred
Calm under pressure
Trainable and eager to learn new skills
*Ability to work peak tourism season including holidays (Fourth of July, Memorial Day, etc..) weekends, nights
