TASTING ROOM AND WINE CLUB MANAGER
The Tasting Room and Wine Club Manager will oversee the operations and management of our thee Direct to Consumer sales channels: tasting room, ecom, and wine club.
Job Duties:
• Work with Rain Dance Vineyards team to continuously improve the guest experience, wine presentation formats, and customer facing program to grow the sales of wine and wine club memberships.
• Contribute to the program at Rain Dance Vineyards with innovative ideas to bring wine tasters to the tasting room, and to make the tasting experience memorable and one ‘not to be missed’
• Be a positive ambassador of Rain Dance Vineyards within the local community and wine industry.
• Actively promote the sale of Rain Dance Vineyards wine, club, and merchandise.
• Build a strong team and positive culture to elevate the guest experience at Rain Dance Vineyards.
• Manage all personnel activities for the Tasting Room: hiring, onboarding, scheduling, time-tracking and time reporting, training, performance reviews, and development.
• Build relationships with our members to increase wine club satisfaction.
• Work with GM to design metrics and key performance indicators to identify trends and evolve the offering.
• Develop new initiatives and programs to further the growth of Rain Dance Vineyards.
• Properly staff the customer experience(s) with an eye on labor costs.
• Work with GM to develop the annual revenue forecast, budget, and design strategies to achieve results.
• Participate in monthly financial reviews.
• Work with team to manage wine inventory for tasting room and wine club releases, forecast depletions and schedule replenishment as needed.
• Stay up to date on current wines, vineyards, new releases, and wine club allocations.
• Manage all wine club processing and communication.
Qualifications:
• Five or more years’ experience in sales and management in hospitality focused organizations, premium wine experience preferred.
• Exceptional management and leadership skills with strong references.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or a related field is preferred.
• Certified Sommelier or formal wine training is a plus.
• Experience with Commerce7 is a plus.
• Strong skills in MS Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• The ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently.
• A customer-first attitude and the ability to work under pressure with grace and positivity.
• A valid OLCC Service Permit.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Positive professional demeanor.
• Available evenings and weekends as needed.
• Reliable transportation, proof of insurance, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record.
