JOB SUMMARY:
Successfully oversees and handles all Trade guests to the winery. Builds and implements trade visit documentation, scheduling, and hosting. Supports regional managers in 24 states across the country. Supports trade accounting, data management, and marketing. Works across departments when needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Host all trade partners at the winery in accordance with the standards and principles of Chappellet, and deliver world-class hospitality and customer service to all guests.
• Use compelling storytelling to convey the Chappellet brand story and incorporate wine knowledge during all visits; become well-versed in Chappellet’s history, grape growing, wine production, and wines.
• Manage and monitor all trade visit details with Great Vines software.
• Works independently to develop and manage all workflow from initial visit contact through to follow-up; schedules all visits and manages the calendar.
• Coordinate with Regional Sales Managers, distribution partners, importers, and accounts to schedule and carry out all trade visits.
• Serve as a liaison between the DTC team and the Trade team, effectively communicating and building a strong rapport across all departments within the company.
• Provides DTC support as needed, including acting as Manager on Duty, processing sales, and hosting guests at the winery.
• Use DTC software to record guest information and handle sales.
• Meets and exceeds any sales goals or targets set by the DTC and Trade Departments.
• Supports Regional Sales Managers across 24 small states nationwide. This support is diverse and includes, but is not limited to:
o Communicating with distributors,
o Providing updates on Chappellet, including vintage changes, tasting notes, winery details, and brand story to distributors.
o Communicating goals to distributors, ensuring all markets meet their targets, and supporting markets in achieving their objectives.
o Leading virtual and in-person sales calls with distributor teams
o Establishing incentives and pricing strategies with distributors
o Build relationships with accounts; organize tastings and events as needed.
o Use Great Vines software to track goals and record account activities
• Prepare reports and perform data analysis on small markets and trade visits.
• Handles trade accounting as needed, primarily entering invoices into the system.
• Supports marketing initiatives in various capacities, including but not limited to:
o Packaging and sending collateral to distributors and accounts
o Hosting webinars and virtual events; supporting executives and others with webinars
o Planning webinars and generating ideas for new webinars
o Communicating trade information to the marketing team as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred. CMS or WSET certifications highly recommended.
• Experience: Three to five or more years in winery hospitality and/or alcohol beverage sales.
• Proven ability to be an effective, innovative, and enthusiastic team member with a positive attitude; ability to take on leadership opportunities and become a point of contact across departments
• Proven ability to work independently and be self-motivated
• Outstanding customer service skills – takes pride in hospitality
• Excellent knowledge of wine and wine production
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Positive, energetic, and solution-oriented; focused on delivering excellence both in hosting guests and in working with distributor partners

• Strong data and analytics skills; experience working with Great Vines/Salesforce and Commerce7 is a plus.

• Strong Computer skills (Microsoft suite, Salesforce, Illustrator, Great Vines, Commerce 7, Wine Direct)
• Available to work varied hours, nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time
