Job Description:

About us:
Rudd Estate is a small, family-owned and operated winery located in the heart of Oakville, looking to add to our dedicated Hospitality Team.
Our Ambassador is the primary contact for our visitors to the Estate.
This is a multi-faceted position that requires initiative, creativity, organization, high energy level and elevated communication skills with guests and co-workers.
Enthusiasm for exceptional customer experience is a must.
Additional compensation offered with Bonus & Incentive Program.

Essential duties:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Handle private visit inquiries via emails and dedicated text platform.
Handle private event requests and ensure proper execution.
Greet all guests promptly and graciously, and provide knowledgeable, consistent, and courteous responses to questions and/or problems.
Focus on building our tasting room sales and customer base.
Ensure that any issue is resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
Accurately handle daily tasks as well as POS transactions, including processing orders and returns.
Prepare the Tasting Room for opening and closing daily.
Process wine shipping orders in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Stock merchandise, wine and supplies as needed
Maintain orderliness of the Tasting Room
Participate in team efforts and perform additional duties as needed

Necessary Skills:
Language: Ability to speak and understand basic English required for all positions.
Strong verbal communication skills. Courteous and friendly. Team player.
Read and interpret documents such as memos, instructions, policies, and manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to present information effectively to groups of customers and/or employees and participate in one-on-one and small group situations.
Apply common sense understanding to multiple tasks, analyze and solve practical problems, prioritize, and delegate tasks and projects, work both independently and as part of a team, and adapt to frequent changes in the work environment.
Safety minded.
Trustworthy and reliable.

Computer:
Possess intermediate computer skills which can include e-mail, internet, word processing, spreadsheet, basic database activity, graphic arts, and/or publishing.
Education, Experience, Certificates, Licenses:

Licences:
Current, valid Driver’s

Physical requirements:
Moderate physical activity performing activities including standing, walking, climbing, reaching, and carrying. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach, handle items, and work with the fingers. Requires lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs. in weight. Clear vision (close and distant) and ability to adjust focus. Hearing adequate for telephone, office, and group conversation.

Work Environment:
Primarily in a well-lighted, heated, and/or air-conditioned indoor setting with adequate ventilation. Short periods outdoors while conducting tours or moving between buildings. Moderate noise levels typical of public space: music sound system, public conversations, telephones/cell phones, large groups.

Schedule and Travel Requirements:
Variable schedule that requires Saturday, periodic evenings, and/or periodic or seasonal overtime.
