PARADIGM DTC Hospitality & Sales PART TIME Position

We are a family winery in Oakville looking to add a member to our small team. All winery operations are all estate; including organic farming, winemaking, and warehousing. Our brand is well established and locally owned by a wife and husband with multi-generational California family roots. We are looking for someone who is highly customer-service oriented and can contribute to our personalized and memorable DTC experience.

We are a small team, working closely together across all departments, who support each other in a relaxed and friendly environment. We are looking for a candidate who is flexible, goal oriented, and collaborative.

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities
•  Host and welcome guest for a personalized experience suited to their interest. This may include storytelling, history, and information about the estate, family, and wines that leave the guest with meaningful experience.
•  Engage guests in a manner that is genuine, approachable, and friendly. Focus on relationship building.
•  Encourage sales through individualized offerings, membership explanations, and information about wine.
•  Book reservations, vet guests, and send email confirmations and follow-up
•  Enter sales and accurately operate POS system
•  Answer e-mails/telephone and provide exceptional customer service
•  Basic housekeeping duties: polish glassware, clean tasting space and desk area
•  Demonstrate personal accountability by completing all job duties in a timely manner
•  Assist with membership management
•  Outreach: Grow relations with concierges, drivers, and neighboring wineries
•  Package DTC orders.
Qualifications
•  Professional attitude with ability to be positive, courteous, and accommodating in challenging situations.
•  Organized with impeccable attention to detail, ability to multi-task.
•  Wine industry experience preferred, passion and interest in learning about wine required.
•  Adaptable: Able to work with a variety of personality types in a thoughtful and constructive manner.
•  Ability to communicate at a high level, with a wide variety of people, on a wide variety of subjects.
•  Ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
•  Excellent Interpersonal awareness, relationship management and influencing skills
•  Must demonstrate authentic customer engagement, planning, and prioritization
•  Must be 21 years of age and hold or pass Responsible Beverage Certification.

•  Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
•  Occasional bending, kneeling and lifting to 50lbs

This position is part time – Saturday/Sunday with overtime and holiday work as needed. Pay $20-$30/ hour DOE.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the US.
