Family owned Sonoma Winery looking for a dynamic Tasting Room Manager to oversee daily operations and hospitality of our Tasting Room. This position is an integral part of the team and leads one of the most successful Tasting Rooms in Sonoma. A successful candidate will have an incredible work ethic, be detail oriented, enjoy a fast paced work environment and lead by example. The Tasting Room Manager is responsible for leading the daily activities of the Tasting Room team, ensuring the highest service standards and achieving revenue goals.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•  Lead the daily activities of the Tasting Room to achieve revenue goals, club member growth and ensure the highest level of service
•  Manage daily business functions including opening and closing procedures, cash accounting and reporting
•  Responsible for staff hiring, orientation, continual training, development, supervision and performance evaluation.
•  Ideal candidate will establish an atmosphere of teamwork and team culture for positive employee relations.
•  Manage, coach and help to develop team members.
•  Maintains and updates tasting menus as needed. Comes up with new tasting menus and options.
•  Creates staffing work calendar.
•  Schedule staff meetings to communicate company news, sales, club and service goals.
•  Ensure that POS systems is functioning properly
•  Consistent presence as the on-floor manager
•  Assist in development of luxury experiences and enhancing guest hospitality
•  Maintain clean and orderly tasting room.
•  Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed
•  Lead by example to deliver exceptional customer service and motivate others to do the same.
•  Performs monthly and daily inventory reconciliation of wine, food and merchandise.
•  Tracks incentives goals and club memberships for Tasting Room staff

Other Responsibilities:

•  Meet regularly with ownership to discuss progress and strategies of sales and club goals
•  Outreach with other wineries regularly. Represent the winery at industry mixers.


Requirements:
•  Tasting Room Management experience a plus but not required.
•  Must have experience working in a Tasting Room as an Assistant Tasting Room Manager or Tasting Room Lead. People management skills a plus.
•  Ability to work with and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of detail
•  Work weekends, holidays and some events
•  Must be 21 years of age or older
•  Must be able to lift and carry up to 40lbs.
