Food Truck Chef de Partie

Job Description:

Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented and motivated Chef de Partie to join our vibrant food truck team. In this role, you’ll take ownership of a specific kitchen section—such as the grill, fryer, or prep—ensuring food is prepared and presented to the highest standards. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, compact environment that requires efficiency, creativity, and a strong sense of teamwork.
You will report directly to the Culinary Director and Executive Chef, ensuring alignment with the overall culinary vision and standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
•  Prepare, cook, and plate dishes in line with the food truck’s menu and quality expectations.
•  Manage a designated section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, fryer, prep) with full accountability.
•  Ensure your station is clean, organized, and compliant with food safety and sanitation regulations.
•  Participate in daily prep, setup, restocking, and end-of-day breakdown/cleanup.
•  Communicate clearly and efficiently with fellow team members during busy service times.
•  Suggest ideas for menu innovation, flavor enhancements, and efficient prep workflows.
•  Train and guide junior kitchen staff or assistants as needed.
•  Maintain proper portion control to reduce food waste and ensure consistency.
•  Adapt quickly to on-the-fly changes and resolve issues calmly and professionally.
•  Additional duties may be assigned as business needs evolve.
Requirements:
•  Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or experienced line cook in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
•  Culinary training or strong hands-on kitchen experience.
•  Solid knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and food safety practices.
•  Ability to work efficiently in confined spaces and under pressure.
•  Strong team player with excellent time management and communication skills.
•  Passion for street food, creativity, and delivering an outstanding guest experience.
•  Valid driver’s license (required for assisting with food truck operations and mobility).
•  Willingness to work overtime and flexible hours as needed.

Preferred:
•  Previous experience in food trucks, pop-ups, or fast-casual kitchens.
•  Valid food handler’s certification.
