Cathiard Vineyard is looking for a full-time Cellar Hand to join our dynamic winery team in the beautiful Napa Valley!

Located at the base of the Mayacamas Mountain range in the St. Helena AVA, Cathiard Vineyard is home to over 58 acres of Bordeaux varietals, innovative processing technology, and a world-class wine cave and working facility. The winery is French-owned and operated by the proprietors of Château Smith Haut Lafitte and brings together an international team committed to excellence in winemaking.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•  Rackings and transfers of juice and wine
•  Inoculations and additions to juice and wine
•  Pumpovers and punchdowns of red ferments
•  Operation of crush equipment and presses
•  Draining and pressing tanks, including manual pomace removal
•  Sanitation and general winery cleaning
•  Forklift operation (certification training can be provided)

QUALIFICATIONS:
•  Previous cellar or harvest experience
•  Strong communication skills
•  Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends during peak production periods
•  Valid driver’s license required
•  Applicants must have valid U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship is available.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•  Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks
•  Comfortable walking on uneven surfaces inside and outside
•  Ability to squat, stoop, bend at the waist and legs
•  Capable of lifting and moving up to 60 lbs
•  Must be able to use hands, fingers, reach, see, hear, and smell
•  Must be comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor winery conditions, sometimes around noisy equipment
