Assistant Retail Wine Manager

Job Description
Job duties will include, but are not limited to: co-wine buyer for the store, customer service (including recommendations, answering phone calls and emails), pricing, assisting with taking inventory, inventory management, stocking shelves, accepting deliveries, assisting with opening and closing the store, operating the point of sale system and customer transactions, helping with in-store tasting events, attending trade events at your discretion, assisting with wine shipments, lifting and moving full cases of wine, content development for emails and social media, and other special projects.

Job Hours
Full-time. Must be able to work when the store is open, which our standard hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10:30am-6:30pm.

Qualifications and Requirements
We are looking for someone with the following traits:
•  Passionate about wine
•  Knowledge of all wine regions. Old world knowledge is a plus.
•  Experience in the wine industry through retail, restaurant, distributors, or wineries is required
•  Excellent customer service and sales skills
•  Wine purchasing experience
•  Strong communication skills
•  Self-motivated
•  Valid OLCC Alcohol Servers Permit
•  Able to lift and move cases of wine
•  Technology: capable of operating a point-of-sale system and email
