HARVEST WORKER FOR CINDER WINERY
We are a 10,000 case winery focused on producing premium wines out of the Snake River Valley. Our urban winery is located in Boise, Idaho, about 5 minutes away from downtown. We are a passionate team who are looking for an individual to seasonally join our team with the position of Harvest Worker. Needed approximately from end of August to end of November.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Under the general direction of the Cellar Supervisor and Cellar Technicians, Harvest Workers are responsible for keeping the flow of harvest moving smoothly and accurately in the cellar through a myriad of different tasks. Position requires the ability to follow directions safely, accurately, and in a timely manner. Generally working 8-10 hours a day, 6 days a week once harvest gets started.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Cleaning, sanitizing, and sterilizing of all winery equipment and facilities
Racking and pumping of juice and wine
Moving hoses and equipment
Making chemical and nutrient additions to juice and wine
Barrel work including filling, topping, stirring and racking
Obtaining lab samples from tanks and barrels
Operating crush pad equipment
Following and observing all safe cellar practices
Use senses to detect problems or off-odors
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Must be able to follow written and verbal directions exactly

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE
Prior winery and vineyard experience and/or education in related field preferred, but not required. Must have ability to communicate effectively with good skills in reading, writing, and basic math. Must be able to work safely around equipment, electrical outlets, and chemicals. Individuals selected for this position must be reliable, detail-oriented, and have good work ethic. Must be able to work varying shifts, weekends and overtime as needed particularly during the harvest season. Must be able to provide proof of ability to work in the United States.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to able to climb ladders safely. Required to stand for extended periods of time, routinely required to reach with hands and arms, sit, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and able to lift and move up to 50lbs of weight.
