Job Description:

The Tasting Room Leed oversees the daily operations of our Tasting Room making sure that the Sales Team executes at the highest levels of wines sales, service and hospitality. This is done by the love and adoration of wine, which is the most important quality of the job. Other important duties include generating revenue, watching labor costs and expenses, ensuring repeat business, overseeing the kitchen, managing the Wine Club Concierge and handling Events. The Tasting Room Manager will have a strong work ethic, organizational prowess, wine knowledge and share our company’s values of authenticity, reliability, integrity, quality, customer service, hospitality and passion. This position provides a key link between our Management Team and the Guest Experience and will help continue our success in securing our brand as the most trusted choice in Ridgefield County wine.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees and leads the Tasting Room Sales Team focusing on sales, customer service and satisfaction, hospitality, repeat business and wine sales education
Protects, develops and expands the company’s standards for providing benchmark setting customer service and hospitality, and ensures that company’s standards are being met for performance, procedures and regulations
Trains and educates the Sales Team to pay attention to all the little details about service, develop a sense of urgency within them and encourage peripheral vision
Ensures all staff members are educated and proficient with the 14 Acres stories, their respective wines and winemaking
Handles, oversees and approves the Tasting Room scheduling for the Tasting Room, Kitchen, Wine Club Concierge and Director of Events
Oversees the Kitchen Operations and Management to insure it is performing at the highest levels of service and execution while managing costs and watching expenses
Manages the Wine Club Concierge making sure Sales, Wine Club Members and VIP Tastings and Experiences are being executed at the highest level
Acts as the Events Manager increasing event space rentals and executes, coordinates and oversees all Events at the Tasting Room
Assigns duties for the Sales Team when there is downtime including cleaning, organizing, and the proper merchandizing of wines and pantry items
Creates Sales and Kitchen Team incentives and internal promotions to prioritize inventory movement and focusing the team’s energies on specific sales goals
Works with the DTC Sales Manager and Kitchen Chef on inventory control and movement, purchasing supplies and keeping machines and equipment running
Assists with Tastings, VIP Experiences, Private Events and Wine Club Events
Final compensation is commensurate with the candidate's work experience.

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
