Originally planted in the 1880’s, Bouchaine is the oldest continuously operating winery in Carneros, a region on the southern tip of Napa Valley. Bouchaine is a sustainable, family-owned premium winery whose commitment to excellence has resulted in growing recognition for our award-winning wines. Our 100-acre estate is nestled against the bay where the wind and fog from San Francisco bring beautiful layers and vitality to our wines. We make over 20 wines including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Pinot Meunier, Syrah and Merlot. At Bouchaine, our focus is to craft wines with the elegance of Burgundy, the exuberance of California, and the terroir of Carneros. With a commitment to quality and a passion for excellence, Bouchaine Vineyards has garnered a loyal customer base. We are now seeking an Events Coordinator to join our team.

Job Description:

The Events Coordinator main responsibility is to execute winery events. The Events Coordinator will schedule necessary staff, rental orders, caterers, transportation, entertainment and setup / breakdowns. This person will have strong organizational and time management skills. This position is a part of the DTC team responsible for pre-event set up, event execution, and post-event breakdown. We are looking for a hardworking, self-directed, go getter who takes direction well.

Responsibilities:

•  Execute consumer, trade and corporate events.
•  Hands on pre-event set up, including: furniture placement, glassware preparation, bathroom checks, and assuring the event space is polished and ready for guests.
•  Communicate clearly, effectively, and in a timely manner with DTC, Sales Team, and clients. Keep informed and inform the DTC Team on the daily/weekly schedule of events.
•  Provide direction to event caterers and their staff in accordance with standards of service and hospitality.
•  Coordinate with vendors for pickup/return of rental items.
•  Act as on-site contact during group tastings and events. Provide direction to outside vendors in accordance with the highest standards of service and hospitality.
•  Conduct site inspections for prospective clients.
•  Assist in building partnerships with hospitality–related organizations, including hotels, transportation companies, destination management companies, corporate groups, and other luxury product categories.
•  Build rapport with guests by sharing information about our vineyard, philosophy, and wines.
•  Serve as an ambassador of the company, exemplifying excellence in customer service.
•  Assist with wine and olive oil sales, in addition to wine club sign ups during events.
•  Assist with inventory, both keeping an updated list of supplies and their location
•  Additional duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications:

•  Minimum 3 years of experience in the events industry, preferably in a 4 – 5 star environment
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•  Proficient in computer software
•  Exceptional attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
•  Must be able to multi-task, be detail oriented and adaptable
•  Wine industry knowledge
•  Outstanding customer service skills
•  Passionate and knowledgeable about wine and food
•  Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
•  Ability to be flexible and calm under pressure
•  Operate with integrity at all times
•  Ability to ascend and descend stairs
•  Ability to lift and move 50 pounds
•  Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
