Position Overview: Ambar Estate, the first Regenerative Organic Farm Certified Estate in the renowned Dundee Hills, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Estate General Manager to lead the development and implementation of our onsite wine tasting and food pairing program. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in curating client events, managing direct-to-consumer wine sales, overseeing website and social media, and growing our wine club. This role will also involve active participation in wine tastings, collaboration with the winemaking team on new releases, and preparation of annual budgets and sales forecasts and responsible for exceeding sales forecast and staying within or under budgeted expenses. Responsibilities include:

Hospitality programs: Work to launch a comprehensive onsite wine tasting and food pairing program that enhances the guest experience. Actively participate in overseeing wine tastings, ensuring exceptional service and a deep understanding of our wine offerings. Responsible for opening and closing duties of the tasting room. Manages customer feedback in a timely and positive manner. Presents opportunity for growth and new offerings to leadership team in organized and thoughtful way.

Events: Curate and execute client events both at the Estate and offsite, showcasing the unique features of Ambar Estate and fostering strong relationships with clients. Production of BEOs and Pro Formas for events. In collaboration with Hospitality coordinator, leads and executes winery and wine club events. Performs outreach to local businesses to support private event business. In collaboration with Hospitality coordinator, oversees the booking of caterers, live music, rentals and other necessities for events.

Direct to Consumer Wine Sales: Manage a direct-to-consumer wine sales program, including tasting room and wine club. Collaborate to market and promote wine offerings effectively through social media and email campaigns as well as collateral. Manages inventory and orders of all marketing materials and collateral. Manage point of sales system for updates to SKUs and allocations. Supports club processing.

Digital Presence: Assist in overseeing website updates, ensuring up-to-date content and accurate. Manage social media channels to promote events, engage with customers, and showcase the estate's unique offerings.

Team Leadership: Hiring of hospitality staff to deliver exceptional customer service including concierge-type protocols to offer guests. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that aligns with the values of Ambar Estate. Responsible for mentorship and development of all hospitality staff. Delegate responsibilities to staff to maximize efficiency and grow performance. Analyze team performance and give feedback for improvement in the frame of creating exceptional guest experiences. Responsible for training of new staff and ongoing training of current staff. Responsible for team schedules. Ensures training manual is up to date. Oversees culinary team.

Collaboration with Winemaking Team: Work closely with the winemaking team on new releases, ensuring seamless integration of hospitality offerings with the estate's wine portfolio. Coordinates with winemaking team for attendance at events and trainings.

Financial Management: Prepare annual budgets and forecast sales to ensure financial goals are met. Generate and analyze P&L reports to identify areas for improvement and strategic growth. Support inventory counts in partnership with Director of Operations. Submit accurate and confirmed bi-weekly payroll for processing in timely and consistent manner.

Qualifications: Proven experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably in the wine or luxury sector. Strong knowledge of wine, with experience in
conducting tastings and food pairings. Demonstrated success in managing direct-to-consumer sales programs. Excellent organizational, leadership and communication skills. •  Familiarity with website and social media management. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Experience in budgeting and financial management.
