Position Job Description:
Following our mission, the HR Generalist will originate and lead HR practices and objectives that will?provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture?that?emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

Under general supervision of the CFO, the HR Generalist is responsible for overseeing a variety of HR functions, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and compliance. This is an independent, hands-on role with opportunities to make a real impact on the organization, our culture and our people.

Core Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Onboarding
•  Manage the full recruitment process,?from assisting with the development of job descriptions and posting ads to conducting and coordinating interviews and making hiring recommendations
•  Oversee the onboarding process for new hires,?ensuring a smooth and positive transition into the company
•  Maintain and improve recruiting and onboarding procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness

Benefits Administration
•  Manage the company's benefits program,?including enrollment,?communication,?and administration
•  Administer and process 401(k) plan changes including; 401(k) notices, deferral changes and 401(k)loans
•  Administer and maintain Leaves of Absence process
•  Ensure accurate and timely processing of benefits bills and claims

Payroll Administration
•  Analyze, prepare, input, process and reconcile weekly payroll using Paycom and Agcode to produce accurate and timely payroll
•  Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state and federal wage and hour laws
•  Administer payroll related functions including but not limited to processing new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, wage garnishments, deductions, and direct deposit
•  Communicate between managers and employees when necessary to resolve employee pay issues

Employee Relations
•  Provide guidance and support to employees on HR policies,?procedures,?and benefits
•  Investigate and resolve employee concerns and complaints,?ensuring fair and consistent treatment
•  Facilitate open communication and foster a positive and productive work environment

Compliance
•  Stay up to date on relevant California and federal employment laws and regulations and ensure necessary documentation is in place
•  Ensure the company adheres to all HR compliance requirements
•  Conduct audits and reviews to identify and address any potential compliance issues
•  Coordinates anti-harassment training and supports managers in coordinating training programs for employees

Health and Safety
•  Administer all aspects of Worker’s Compensation program including claims execution, issue resolution, minimizing claims, communication, etc.
•  Schedule necessary post-accident appointments and ensure safe transportation is available
•  Implement and maintain the Injury and Illness Prevention Program

Performance Management
•  Administer the performance management process for employees
•  Assist managers on how to provide coaching and feedback to help employees develop and grow
•  Maintain and improve the company’s Performance Matrix; advise managers and support employee discipline actions
•  Recognize and reward employee achievements

Additional Responsibilities
•  Develop and implement new HR initiatives and programs
•  Update and maintain Employee Handbook
•  Work with an outside consultant for strategic HR initiatives
•  Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
•  Provide Spanish translation services, verbal and written (personally or outsourced)

Qualifications:
•  Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field
•  Bilingual in English and Spanish, verbal and written strongly preferred
•  Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Human Resources role
•  Strong knowledge of California and federal employment laws and regulations
•  Proven ability to recruit,?hire,?and onboard new employees
•  Excellent verbal and written communication,?interpersonal,?and problem-solving skills
•  Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•  Proficient in HR software and Microsoft office technology
•  Detail-oriented and highly organized
•  Valid California Driver's License with insurable driving record is required
•  On-site availability is required

Wage transparency disclosure: This is an exempt position with a pay range of $70,000 to $95,000 annually.
