About the Role
The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for achieving company objectives within assigned PNW based regional chains and Albertsons Companies. Divisions in PNW(SEA/PDX/IM/DENVER) for Treasury Americas. Primary responsibilities are to implement national chain initiatives and develop local sales.strategy, promotional planning, and trade relationships and to deliver TAM's depletion ambitions. The Manager will work closely with Treasury Americas.Strategic Account Manager, Treasury Americas Commercial Managers, regional chain buying teams, and distributor counterparts.
Key Responsibilities
* Sales Strategy & Account Management
* Facilitate the development and execution strategy of PNW based regional and national chains and manage implementation of the following:
+ Annual growth targets
+ New Item Reviews
+ National and locally customized Program Plans
+ Planner Submissions
+ Portfolio Management (including allocation management and at-risk action planning)
+ Manage market driving initiatives.
+ Manage billings and budgets for each account.
+ Annual Business Reviews
* Develop & execute local marketing plans with commercial team that allocate resources to drive market share, distribution, volume, and profitability.
* Translate consumer and account trends into actionable insights.
* Drive the appropriate internal processes to leverage customer opportunities.
* Identify channel white space and leverage existing portfolio and/or leverage new product development (NPD) ideas to fill the gaps.
* Strategic Focus - aligning Treasury Americas and customer KPIs.
* Financial - where and how to invest to drive shared profitability.
* Proposition development - focus on the right program drivers to success.
* Identify SWOT analysis and action steps.
Communication
* • Execute local and national strategy for national accounts and serve as the voice for National Accounts for the distributor.
* • Communicate and collaborate with all key Stakeholders in marketing, finance, commercial strategy, supply, and the Treasury America Divisions.
* • Coordinate with Treasury Americas demand planning team to manage information flow regarding products, packaging, and promotional activities.
* • Coordinate with Public Relations team in the planning of event-based activities and media relations.
Key Challenges
* • Establish annual merchandising, assortment & pricing objectives.
* • Identify and implement programs to achieve the above.
* • Insight analysis and regular reporting to measure the above.
* • Work effectively through the distributor management teams at Treasury Americas and our distributor network to ensure execution of account programs at the market level.
* • Ensure the success of the Treasury Americas innovation agenda by launching new brands with pace and energy.
* • Partner with distributor management teams to ensure execution of programs and strategies at the outlet level.
* • Create communication and planning calendars that enable execution by distributor management teams.
* • Measure and control national account program compliance at the state level for distribution and pricing.
About you
* 5-10 years previous professional experience in sales, marketing, or business management, or equivalent required.
* Experience of managing chain accounts
* Beverage-alcohol desired; CPG experience a plus.
* Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing or related required, MBA a plus.
* Strong ability to work in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills required.
* Experience with Circana/Nielsen preferred.
