Job Description:

DTC Manager
Van Duzer Vineyards, Dundee & Dallas, OR

Summary
Van Duzer Vineyards is seeking a DTC Manager to lead our guest experience, sales, and events strategy across our Dundee tasting room and our Dallas estate tasting room, while also helping grow our presence with key local accounts across Oregon. This role is ideal for a highly hospitality driven, sales focused leader who is passionate about Oregon wine and energized by building something at two locations at once. The DTC Manager will deliver exceptional guest experiences, drive sales and wine club growth, lead two tasting room teams, create memorable, profitable events across both properties, and help expand our reach with top local wine accounts. This is a hands on leadership role for a self starter who thrives in both service and management and wants to help build long term success across a growing portfolio.

About Us
Van Duzer Vineyards is a pioneering Oregon winery established in the 1990s and recognized as a legacy brand in the Willamette Valley. Known for its dedication to wine quality and customer experiences, Van Duzer delivers world class wines while creating meaningful connections with every guest. Our Dallas estate tasting room sits on our home vineyard in the Van Duzer Corridor, and our newer Dundee tasting room brings that same experience into the heart of Willamette Valley wine country. Together, these two locations are focused on warm hospitality, strong sales performance, and memorable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations at both the Dundee and Dallas tasting rooms, with assistance from current staff members, dividing time between the two locations to maintain consistent hospitality, sales, and team accountability standards.
- Deliver engaging, high level tasting experiences and step into service during busy periods.
- Drive tasting room sales, wine club sign ups, and guest retention across both properties through genuine, relationship based hospitality.
- Plan and execute memorable, profitable events at both locations, including wine club pickup parties, pop ups, private events, and community activations.
- Hire, onboard, train, and coach two separate tasting room teams to ensure consistently high service standards at both sites.
- Oversee staff scheduling and floor coverage at both locations based on business needs and labor goals.
- Maintain and refine tasting room SOPs, service standards, and training materials, and help bring consistency between the two teams.
- Monitor team performance at both locations and coach sales conversion, club acquisition, and guest engagement.
- Oversee tasting room presentation and operational readiness at both sites, including cleanliness, organization, opening and closing procedures, and guest flow.
- Accurately process sales orders, reservations, and customer information through POS and reservation systems.
- Support daily cash handling, end of day reconciliation, and POS accuracy at both sites.
- Call on and help build relationships with top local wine accounts across Oregon, supporting our broader local and national sales growth alongside our DTC and trade efforts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, local businesses, concierges, drivers, and referral partners in both communities to support business growth.
- Partner closely with the General Manager - Dundee and ownership on sales strategy, promotions, guest experience improvements, and local business development opportunities.

Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hospitality, restaurant, or tasting room experience required.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience required.
- Strong knowledge of Oregon wine required, WSET Level 2, Certified Sommelier, or equivalent wine education preferred.
- Highly sales driven with a proven ability to meet or exceed goals.
- Demonstrated creativity in developing and executing events that are both memorable and profitable.
- Comfortable with outbound account outreach outside the tasting room, a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage two teams in two locations.
- Ability to educate, entertain, and connect with guests in a polished but approachable way.
- Comfortable balancing guest service with administrative and operational responsibilities.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed, including required weekend coverage at the Dallas location.
- Reliable personal transportation and willingness to commute regularly between Dundee and Dallas.
- A self starter who can operate independently with support from the GM and ownership.
- OLCC permit and Oregon Food Handler's card required, or ability to obtain.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work on your feet in a fast paced environment.

This role requires regular travel between our Dundee tasting room (130 SW 7th St, Dundee, OR 97115) and our Dallas estate tasting room (11975 Smithfield Rd, Dallas, OR 97338), roughly 3 to 4 days per week at the Dallas location and 1 to 2 days per week in Dundee, with schedule shaped by business needs and events at each site. Weekend availability is required. Candidates should be based somewhere that allows for a reasonable, reliable commute to both properties.

Growth Opportunity
Van Duzer Vineyards is growing, and this role is being built with room to grow alongside it. As our DTC business expands, we expect this position's scope and responsibility to expand as well, and we are looking for someone who wants to build a long term career with us.

Compensation
