We are a third generation, family-owned and operated farm, nursery and vineyard in the Mid-Willamette Valley operating since the 1960s. In 2020 we began planting Chardonnay at a high elevation site in the South Salem hills and have begun producing wine from the 2025 vintage, to be bottled starting in July 2026. We seek a brand manager who can lead the development of a new brand targeting the premium and ultra-premium segments of the wine market. This is a new enterprise and an opportunity for creativity, vision, and to build something from first principles. Interpersonal skills, a warm and enthusiastic personality and passion for wine and the wine business are the essential qualifications for this position. In parallel to the work of developing a new brand, the brand manager must sell and market the wine we produce. Our goal is to create a world-class wine company producing unique, memorable and excellent wines showcasing the extraordinary character of our terroir.

Responsibilities:

•  Develop a brand plan
•  Identify target consumers
•  Understand the subset of the industry we inhabit
•  Define a winemaking strategy and idiom
•  Name the brand and its wines
•  Create a stylesheet for the brand
•  Establish pricing guidelines for our wines
•  Steer the art design for labels, boxes and any other hard goods
•  Build a brand website
•  Develop a marketing strategy
•  Connect to distributors
•  Represent the brand
•  Create a DTC platform and strategy
•  Ensure the marketing strategy is unified and coherent
•  Travel to industry events to support sales and distribution
•  Produce a budget for the brand development effort
•  Forecast sales
•  Provide tastings and wine dinners to support sales and outreach
•  Recruit supporting staff as needed

Qualifications:

•  Proven track record of marketing, sales and brand development in the wine industry
•  Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
•  Exceptional leadership, time management, self-motivation and public speaking skills
