Position Overview

The Tasting Room Lead creates guest experiences at Ricochet’s Wine Bar, manages the wine club, and drives direct sales. This role blends hospitality, sales, and marketing, to create memorable experiences that reflect Ricochet’s welcoming and community-focused brand.

Key Responsibilities

Wine Bar & Guest Experience

- Welcome and engage guests with warmth and professionalism.
- Educate visitors on Ricochet wines, philosophy, and tenant wineries.
- Curate and manage tasting flights, menus, and service style.
- Handle sales transactions and maintain a clean, inviting atmosphere.

Wine Club Management

- Grow and retain Social Club memberships through authentic engagement.
- Manage club communications, renewals, and events.
- Collaborate with the winemaker on release planning and member experiences.

Events & Marketing

- Assist with execution of winery and off-site events (club events, mixers, pop-ups, corporate retreats, festivals).

- Be inspired to think of out-of-the-box events to bring in patrons, and celebrate the space.
- Build relationships with tourism and hospitality partners.

Operations & Team Leadership

- Train and manage part-time tasting room associates.
- Oversee inventory for direct sales and support production needs.
- Act as primary point of contact during business hours.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.

Qualifications & Skills

- Previous hospitality, tasting room, wine service, or event experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Square POS, Vinoshipper, and Tock a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Passion for wine, hospitality, and storytelling.
- Reliable, flexible availability (weekends/evenings required).
- Able to work independently and handle physical tasks (lift 50 lbs, stand long periods).

Compensation & Benefits

- $18–$22/hour plus tips (DOE).

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
