Alloro Vineyard is a small boutique producer of premium wines made exclusively using grapes from our single vineyard estate in the Willamette Valley's Laurelwood District AVA. We are looking for two individuals to work directly with our winemaking team to help craft our distinctive wines for the 2025 vintage. The ideal candidate must have a positive attitude, be hard-working, reliable, a quick learner, have attention to detail and be passionate about wine. As a member of the winemaking team, the Alloro Harvest Intern is involved in every aspect of harvest, providing an all-encompassing and in-depth wine production educational experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Deep cleaning of all harvest equipment - bins, tanks, press, and sorting equipment
- Daily pump-overs and punch-downs on each fermenter
- Monitoring sugar and temperatures levels on each fermenter
- Lifting and washing wine barrels
- Sorting fruit on the sorting line and in the vineyard
- Regular cleaning of the winery space and crush pad
Position requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Full availability from the start date (Early September - exact date TBD) until harvest completion (Early November - exact date TBD)
- Available to work 10-14 hours per day, 6-7 days a week
- Ability to arrive at the winery between 6am-8am each day
- Have transportation to and from the winery
- Be able to lift 50+ pounds
- Be able to climb and stand on tall ladders safely
Compensation is $25.00 an hour plus time and a half for overtime (over 40 hrs per week)
Housing is not included but available month to month locally, ask for details
This is a great opportunity to work with some of the best Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling from the Laurelwood District in the Willamette Valley.
