Dauntless Wine Co., a veteran-owned and operated winery located in the heart of downtown Forest Grove, is seeking a Tasting Room Assistant Manager to help lead our customer experience team. We’re a purpose-driven winery with a mission to support veteran rehabilitation and reintegration through agriculture, carried out through our nonprofit, The Dauntless Veteran Foundation.
This role is ideal for someone who values community, storytelling, and service — and is excited to help grow a small but mighty wine brand. We are proud to support and prioritize veteran employment. While veteran status is not required, we strongly welcome those with military experience or personal connections to veterans.
» Position Details:
• Hours: 32–40 hrs/week (Wed–Sat schedule to start)
» Compensation: $25/hour + tips + wine allocation
» Start Date: ASAP
» Responsibilities:
• Assist with daily tasting room operations and opening/closing procedures
• Assist with stocking, inventory, and club management
• Drive direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales through exceptional hospitality, wine education, and personalized guest experiences
• Support wine club sign-ups, upselling, and customer retention strategies
• Educate customers on our wines, mission, and veteran-focused nonprofit work
• Lead by example with professionalism, positivity, and a customer-first mindset
• Help train and mentor team members as needed
• Support events, wine club activities, and local outreach
» What We're Looking For:
• Prior tasting room or relevant hospitality experience
• Excellent communication skills and a positive mental attitude
• Confidence in starting and maintaining conversations
• Strong sense of personal responsibility and team collaboration
• Passion for wine, agriculture, and/or social impact
• Connection to a veteran (family, friend, etc.) is a plus, but not required
• Interest in long-term growth and continuing wine education
