Intervine is seeking an experienced, highly organized Wine Distribution Manager for a temporary, full-time maternity leave coverage assignment. This role helps keep our wine programs running smoothly, working with customers, distributors, wineries, caterers, and internal teams to ensure the right wine is in the right place, at the right time, and in the right quantity. The position focuses on inventory management, forecasting, data analysis, distributor coordination, and problem solving.
The assignment is expected to run from November 30, 2026 through July 30, 2027 and is hybrid, with two days per week in our Napa office.
While temporary by design, this role offers the opportunity to become an integral part of the Intervine team for approximately eight months. Continued employment is not guaranteed; however, if a suitable permanent opportunity is available following the assignment, we would be open to exploring a longer-term fit.
Responsibilities & Duties
• Manage and monitor wine inventory across multiple locations to ensure adequate supply and help prevent out-of-stock situations.
• Analyze customer data, inventory levels, depletion reports, and performance metrics to develop accurate forecasts.
• Collaborate with distributors and customers to maintain appropriate inventory and minimum par levels.
• Communicate with caterers at airport lounge locations regarding inventory needs.
• Forecast demand, plan replenishments, manage purchase orders, and track incoming shipments.
• Develop and maintain order schedules, adjusting them as inventory needs change.
• Coordinate with wineries to ensure sufficient quantities are reserved to fulfill program requirements.
• Work closely with Intervine’s Supply Chain Management team to support smooth execution.
• Prepare Excel analyses and weekly client reporting in a clear, digestible format.
• Conduct monthly inventory reconciliation across warehouses and review stock valuation reporting.
• Assist with new product registration, brand registration, state licensing requirements, and distributor setup.
• Monitor the transportation and distribution of imported wines.
• Research and resolve inventory, distributor, and winery issues, developing contingency plans when needed.
• Participate in internal and external airline program meetings and support additional forecasting and Operations projects as needed.
