Reports To: Director of Viticulture / Ranch Manager

Position Summary

Continuum Estate is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Irrigator to join our vineyard team. This position is responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of vineyard irrigation systems and plays an important role in supporting vine health and fruit quality.
Working closely with vineyard management, the Irrigator will carry out irrigation schedules based on field observations, soil moisture, weather conditions, and individual block needs.

Key Responsibilities

•  Operate and monitor vineyard irrigation systems.
•  Start, stop, and adjust irrigation sets as directed.
•  Inspect and maintain valves, filters, drip lines, emitters, pumps, and related equipment.
•  Identify and repair leaks, clogged emitters, and damaged irrigation components.
•  Monitor irrigation pressure and distribution throughout the vineyard.
•  Maintain detailed records of well flow meter readings, staff gauge measurements, irrigation activity, and routine filter maintenance.
•  Flush and maintain irrigation lines and filters as needed.
•  Assist with primary and secondary irrigation systems.
•  Maintain accurate records of irrigation dates, run times, and vineyard blocks.
•  Assist with fertigation and irrigation system maintenance.
•  Observe and report vine stress, irrigation issues, or other vineyard concerns.
•  Assist with general vineyard operations as needed.

Qualifications

•  Previous vineyard irrigation system experience required.
•  Experience with drip irrigation systems required.
•  Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
•  Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
•  Ability to communicate effectively with vineyard supervisors and crew.
•  Valid driver’s license required
•  Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

This is an outdoor, physically active position requiring work on vineyard terrain in varying weather conditions. Some early mornings, evenings, or weekends may be required during the growing season.
