Position Summary:

The Accounting Clerk role supports the administrative team in daily financial operations. This role ensures the accurate recording of transactions in compliance with accounting standards, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, merchant processing, bank reconciliations and journal entries. Creating a professional work environment through efficiency and organization is key.


Preferred Skills & Experience:

•  Accounting education or work experience is required
•  Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
•  Ability to assess problems and determine efficient solutions
•  Effective written and verbal communication skills
•  Collaborative, open to learning, taking direction and engaging with the team
•  Time management awareness with the ability to prioritize
•  QuickBooks, Excel and Microsoft Office

Duties include but are not limited to:

•  Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation for all transactions throughout the accounting cycle
•  Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) in all financial reporting
•  Processing of accounts payable invoices and check runs
•  Filing of invoices, reports and records
•  Daily bank reconciliations
•  Familiarity with journal entries and credit memos
•  Assist in identifying and resolving payment variances and discrepancies
•  Assist with month end closing procedures related to financial records
•  Other duties as assigned
