Tasting Room Greeter/Barback

Turnbull is a privately-owned winery, embedded in the history and culture of the Napa Valley since 1979. We craft some of the Napa Valley’s best wines in the heart of Oakville, sourcing from our four estate vineyards located in Oakville and Calistoga. Our Greeter/Barback role is a part-time position reporting to the Tasting Room Manager. This position supports our Wine Educators in all aspects of guest service, tasting room setup and breakdown, and creating a welcoming first impression for every visitor. We are seeking someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment, takes pride in anticipating the needs of both guests and teammates, and is always willing to jump in wherever needed to help create an exceptional experience.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

•  Greeting, checking in, and seating guests to their pre-assigned tables
•  Answering and directing phone calls
•  Cleaning high traffic areas on a regular schedule
•  Washing and buffing all stemware and barware
•  Setting up and breaking down Private, Terroir, and Gallery tastings
•  Packing, moving, and unloading wine
•  Assist with opening and closing procedures
•  General support duties as requested
•  Tidy guest spaces throughout the day

Requirements/Qualifications:

•  Excellent customer service skills
•  Be a great team player
•  Professional appearance and demeanor
•  Ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing
•  Must be at least 21 years old
•  Ability to work on weekends preferred
•  Stand and walk for long periods of time
•  Lift and move up to 50 pounds
•  Walk up and down stairs
•  Work outdoors in a non-air-conditioned environment

This role is part time, and may include weekends holidays, and occasional evenings.

Wage Disclosure: $19.50/hour plus tips
