The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining and nurturing relationships with our portfolio of small off and on-premise accounts throughout California. This role focuses on driving consistent revenue growth through proactive account management, reorder support, product education, and exceptional customer service to maximize sales opportunities within assigned account coverage. This Representative will also be responsible for lead generation of new accounts.
What we will ask you to do:
• Serves as primary point of contact for assigned portfolio of small accounts, maintaining detailed account profiles and conducting regular check-ins to ensure satisfaction and identify growth opportunities.
• Proactively monitors account inventory levels and purchasing cycles to initiate timely reorder conversations and provide guidance on optimal order quantities and timing.
• Educates accounts on new releases, limited offerings, and seasonal selections while providing detailed product information including tasting notes and selling points.
• Communicates time-sensitive promotions, discounts, and special pricing opportunities.
• Focuses on account retention and minimizing churn.
• Monitors account activity to identify dormant or at-risk accounts and develops reactivation strategies.
• Utilizes CRM tools to track sales activities, manage accounts, and analyzes sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
• Processes orders efficiently and accurately while collaborating with logistics team to ensure seamless order fulfillment and delivery coordination.
• Develops new account leads through cold outreach and initial needs discovery calls.
• Participates in sales meetings, training sessions, and virtual tastings to enhance product knowledge and account management skills.
• Ensures that all transactions and customer interactions adhere to local and federal alcohol beverage regulations and company compliance standards.
What you will need:
• 3-5 years’ experience in inside sales or account management, preferably wine industry.
• Strong track record of customer relationship management and account retention.
• Ability to identify customer needs and provide effective solutions.
• Familiarity with CRM software and sales automation tools; strong computer skills.
• Ability to engage and maintain long-term customer relationships effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
