Position Summary: The Sample Fulfillment & Warehouse Associate provides day-to-day support across sample fulfillment, warehouse operations, production rework, inventory organization, and general facility upkeep. This position enters sample orders into Business Central, prepares samples for shipment, assists with pallet preparation and label-related projects, and serves as backup to the Warehouse Lead when needed.
Schedule: Alternative Workweek Monday through Thursday 5:30 am to 4:00 pm. Some overtime required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Receive sample order requests and accurately enter orders into Business Central.
• Pick, pack, label, and prepare sample orders for shipment.
• Verify sample quantities, products, shipping information, and supporting documentation before release.
• Maintain organized sample inventory and restock products and supplies as needed.
• Rewind rolls of labels and organize label inventory.
• Perform product rework, overstickering, relabeling, repacking, and similar special projects.
• Wrap, label, and prepare pallets for storage or shipment.
• Occasionally operate a forklift to move products, materials, or pallets, following all safety requirements.
• Assist with general warehouse organization, housekeeping, and inventory control.
• Serve as backup to the Warehouse Lead, including helping coordinate daily priorities and warehouse activities when assigned.
• Maintain the cleanliness of office common areas, restrooms, and designated employee areas.
• Restock restroom, kitchen, cleaning, shipping, and warehouse supplies.
• Support cycle counts and physical inventory processes
• Identify inventory shortages, damaged products, labeling discrepancies, and safety concerns and report them promptly.
• Follow company procedures related to product handling, sanitation, workplace safety, and inventory accuracy.
• Assist other operations and production employees as workload and business needs require.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehouse, shipping, inventory, production, or fulfillment experience preferred.
• Experience with Business Central or a similar inventory or ERP system is helpful.
• Forklift experience preferred; must complete any required company training and authorization before operating equipment.
• Ability to accurately enter information and follow written sample and shipping instructions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and shift between administrative, warehouse, production, and custodial responsibilities.
• Dependable attendance and a cooperative, team-oriented approach.
• Ability to communicate clearly with warehouse, production, customer service, and other employees.
• Requires ability to drive assigned vehicle(s) or personal vehicle, with appropriate state license, following all applicable laws; must provide proof of liability insurance and must be eligible to be insured under SB’s insurance policy.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive hand movements.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to push, pull, wrap, and move products and pallets.
• Ability to work around warehouse equipment, packaging materials, cleaning products, and varying temperatures.
• Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
