Term: Full Time
SUMMARY
Goosecross Cellars, a small, family-owned, boutique winery in Yountville, is looking to add to our dynamic team of wine professionals. We pride ourselves on crafting beautiful wines and providing an outstanding hospitality experience to our guests and partners. With a strong focus on the DTC channel, our Tasting Room activities are key to our success. We are seeking a full-time wine club coordinator. This role would support the Wine Club and Logistics Manager with all aspects of the wine club, handle member communication, and providing customer service via phone, email, and text. Key responsibilities involve maintaining accurate member accounts, coordinating shipments, processing orders, and resolving issues to ensure a positive, memorable member experience as well as supporting the tasting room on weekends and during events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Act as primary contact processing orders and managing account information and update for wine club members via phone, email, and text, building strong relationships, resolving concerns, and provide personalized recommendations.
• Reservations and Hospitality: Assist with tasting room bookings, occasionally greet members, and provide personalized recommendations.
• Wine club operations and sales: Oversee all aspects of the wine club, including monthly shipments, billing, and handling items like returns and redirects.
• Communication: Draft and send club-related communications, such as notifications, promotions, and event invitations.
• Provide a high standard of hospitality for staff and guests by promoting the sales, goodwill, and image of Goosecross.
• Event support: Assist in executing members and large group events, host exclusive tastings, wine club socials, and VIP experiences.
• Database and administrative tasks: Maintain the accuracy of the customer database, process special requests, and generate reports.
• Shipping support: Coordinate shipping logistics, including tracking, reshipping, and handling damaged or returned packages.
• Collaboration: Work with the team across all sales channels on both on-site and off-site events, including Goosecross takes flight (on the road) and tasting experiences.
• Assist with member acquisition and retention strategies, promote club benefits in the tasting room and online, analyze membership trends, and support special offers.
GENERAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience:
• Minimum two years’ experience in a tasting room or luxury product retail.
• Passion for and knowledge of wine varietals, winemaking and industry trends.
• Aptitude and basic understanding of the sales environment to sell wine.
• Exceptional hospitality and interpersonal skills.
• Thorough professional oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience and understanding of POS systems and industry-specific programs, E Cellar preferred.
• Positive, friendly attitude, and enjoy working with the public and as part of a team.
Physical:
• Flexibility with working weekends, holidays, and events. Capacity to work on feet for at least 8 hours per day.
• Ability to lift, move, and stack 50 pounds.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid US driver’s license.
