Romeo Vineyards & Cellars is a family-owned boutique winery located in the heart of downtown Calistoga. We pride ourselves on creating exceptional guest experiences while showcasing handcrafted Napa Valley wines in our beautiful garden tasting setting.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, outgoing, and hospitality-driven Wine Educator to join our team. If you enjoy connecting with people, sharing wine stories, and creating memorable experiences, we'd love to meet you.

Position Summary
As a Wine Educator, you will provide exceptional hospitality while guiding guests through wine tastings, educating them about our wines and winery history, and helping grow our wine club membership. This role requires strong customer service, sales ability, attention to detail, and a positive team-first attitude.

Responsibilities
•  Welcome guests and provide warm, professional hospitality
•  Host engaging seated wine tastings
•  Educate guests about Romeo Vineyards & Cellars wines, vineyards, and history
•  Recommend wines and promote retail sales
•  Introduce and enroll guests into the Romeo Wine Club
•  Process wine sales through our POS system
•  Assist with reservations and guest communications
•  Prepare tasting room and outdoor garden before opening
•  Clean and reset tasting areas throughout the day
•  Assist with wine club fulfillment and online order preparation
•  Support winery events, private tastings, and special promotions
•  Perform opening and closing duties
•  Provide on-call shift coverage when needed

Qualifications
•  Must be at least 21 years of age
•  Previous winery, tasting room, restaurant, hospitality, or luxury retail experience preferred
•  Excellent customer service and communication skills
•  Sales-oriented with the ability to comfortably recommend wines and wine club memberships
•  Professional appearance and positive attitude
•  Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
•  Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
•  Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
•  Basic computer and POS experience preferred
•  Ability to work weekends, evenings, and select holidays, including busy event weekends

Physical Requirements
•  Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
•  Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
•  Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
•  Frequent bending, reaching, and carrying wine cases and supplies

Schedule
•  Part-time + shift coverage opportunities
•  Approximately 30–32 hours per week, possibility for additional hours
•  Primary shifts between 11:00 AM–7:00 PM
•  Weekend availability required
•  On-call availability for shift coverage is highly valued

Compensation & Benefits
•  $24.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience
•  Bi-weekly commissions for Wine Club memberships
