Job Description:
A boutique high-end winery located in Napa Valley is seeking a Winery Assistant/ Administrative Assistant.
The position is to provide support to the winery director in all aspects of operational and business activities.
Main DUTIES are assisting the winery team with the execution and management of:
• Sales & distribution logistics
• Shipping: assisting with packing, shipping, and delivery of wines & other items
• Offering materials, collateral, tasting notes and technical sheets and
• Customer correspondence
• Compliance
• Branding promotions: Press requests, events, donations, social medias
• Hospitality: assisting with tours, tastings & events
• Inventory management: help maintain comprehensive wines and supply inventories
• Database maintenance: website, e-commerce, Quickbooks, accounting materials, critic scores, historical bottling data, proof of delivery, tax and auditing records
• Other administrative and assistant duties
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS/BA with a degree in business, F&A, sales & marketing, personnel management, or related fields are welcome
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience in fine wine industry
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with wine permits, licensing, compliance and COLA submissions to TTB
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, planning and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to provide great customer service
- Computer skills: MS Office (Publisher, Access), QuickBook, FilemakerPro
- Highly organized, self-directed, multi-tasking, goal & detail-oriented, and able to prioritize workloads
- Willingness to be flexible and expand/develop skills & responsibilities
- Excellent proven driving skills and record, proof of auto insurance
