Job Description:

If you love creating memorable moments, thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment, and can talk wine with warmth and confidence, this is the perfect role for you. As a Visitor Center Server, you’ll guide guests through elevated wine and food experiences, share the story of our wines and the Carneros region, and help visitors take their favorites home, all while delivering the kind of service people tell their friends about.

This position will have the following schedule: Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

While our base wage is minimal, given our generous incentive plan and tip earning potential, this position can typically earn an extra $45.00-$56.00 per hour. Additionally, this position can typically earn an extra $8 per hour for sales commissions.

What you’ll do

- Welcome each guest with genuine hospitality and provide exceptional service from hello to farewell.
- Lead wine (and pairing) experiences by sharing tasting notes, winemaking details, and the story behind the bottles.
- Use confident sales skills to recommend wines, support purchases (including shipping options), and meet sales expectations.
- Share wine club benefits and help guests find the membership level that fits them best.
- Partner closely with bussing staff and the management team to keep service smooth and timely.
- Maintain tasting and service areas to a polished, “Chateau Style” standard; assist with stocking, glassware, and opening/closing tasks as needed.
- Support special events (may include set-up/breakdown, service, bussing, glass washing/polishing, clean-up).
- Follow all Alcohol Beverage Commission regulations; escalate inappropriate guest behavior when needed.

What you bring

- Have 1+ year of experience serving wine in a fast-paced, high-volume winery or luxury hospitality environment.
- Ability to stay warm and welcoming even when it’s busy.
- Communicate clearly and confidently; ability to speak multiple languages is a plus.
- Strong people skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume setting.
- Comfortability with POS systems and intermediate computer skills.
- Ability to work a schedule that may include weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Are 21+, maintain a clean and professional appearance, and can complete responsible beverage service training and certification within 30 days from hire, and maintain valid certification throughout employment.
