Part-Time Estate Host

Compensation: $28.00/hour + 3% commission (non-pooled). No tip line; cash tips direct to the host are permitted.
Schedule: 1–3 days per week, weekends required, typically 11:00a.m.–6:00p.m. Weekly shifts are determined each Thursday; schedule may vary based on reservations. This role is ideal for someone with a flexible and adaptive schedule.

Baldacci Family Vineyards is a premium, limited-production, family-owned and operated winery in the heart of the Stags Leap District. Our cave holds our entire production facility below ground, promising a truly unique visitor experience, while our hospitality space offers stunning views of the Stags Leap Palisades. Known for authenticity and exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon, we delight in sharing our estate-grown wines with guests who travel from around the world to visit us.

We are looking for someone to join our small, passionate team — someone who brings professionalism, curiosity, and a genuine love of connecting with people. No prior wine knowledge required; the right attitude and the drive to succeed are what matter most.

What You'll Do
•  Host guests and achieve or exceed established sales and wine club membership goals
•  Conduct tastings within the winery's pre-defined experiences and in adherence with all winery protocols
•  Present the Baldacci brand story with clarity, enthusiasm, and a tone that is both professional and approachable
•  Carefully review reservation notes to anticipate guest needs and personalize each visit
•  Enter and update CRM data for all guests — not just the booking contact — including full name, email, phone number, and date of birth
•  Set priorities and work independently within set guidelines, displaying the appropriate sense of urgency
•  Lead cave and property tours; carry serving trays with glassware and plates with care and professionalism
•  Ensure every guest leaves having thoroughly enjoyed their experience with a high regard for Baldacci hospitality — and to help keep our 5-star Google rating
•  Remain flexible to take on additional hours, cover shifts, and assist with events as needed

Required Qualifications
•  21 years of age or older
•  High school diploma or equivalent
•  Minimum 2 years in luxury or winery hospitality preferred
•  Familiarity with CRM and POS systems (e.g., Commerce7, Tock)
•  Strong verbal communication and storytelling skills
•  Confident hosting and engaging multiple groups simultaneously
•  Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
•  Able to stand and walk for 6+ hours and lift up to 45lbs regularly
•  Friendly, punctual, self-motivated, and team-oriented
•  Flexible schedule with weekend availability required
