THE CAVES AT SODA CANYON
Role: Harvest interns

Company Snapshot:
The Caves at Soda Canyon is a boutique custom crush facility in Napa Valley, specializing in hand-crafted, small-lot wines. We produce 200–250 tons annually (with plans to expand to 400 tons) and collaborate with over 15 clients. Our winery offers interns a unique opportunity to work with 15+ grape varieties and gain hands-on experience with diverse winemaking techniques.
We’re seeking enthusiastic, detail-oriented and experienced harvest interns to join our team for the 2026 harvest.

Responsibilities
- General cleaning and sanitation of winery & equipment
- Operate fruit receiving and processing equipment
- Cap manipulations (pump-overs/punch downs).
- Tank and barrel additions.
- Draining tanks, operating white and red presses.
- Barrel preparation & filling.
- Fermentation monitoring.
- Transfers and racking of juice from tank to tank
- Accurately complete work orders and other tracking documentation
- Follow standard operating procedures in the performance of all cellar activities to ensure maximum productivity and wine quality objectives are achieved.

Requirements
A strong passion for learning about the winemaking process.
At least one year of prior experience in wine production, including completion of one full harvest.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
Fluent in English. Additional proficiency in Spanish or Italian is a plus.
Valid Driver’s license.

Maintain a regular, full-time schedule that includes overtime and weekends
Hold a valid driver’s license
International applicants must secure their own J-1 visa

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts.
Able to sit and/or walk and stand for most of the day.

Compensation
$22–25/hour, commensurate with experience.
