The Role:
We are seeking a hands-on Tasting Room Manager to lead daily operations while delivering elevated, relationship-driven guest experiences. This role is responsible for building a loyal customer base, driving wine sales and membership growth, and coaching a team to deliver consistently exceptional service. This is a floor-driven leadership role—you will actively host tastings, coach your team in real time, and drive sales performance. You’ll be responsible for building a high-performing team, elevating the guest experience, and consistently delivering strong business results.
Responsibilities:
Guest Experience & Sales
- Build and maintain long-term guest relationships, driving repeat visitation, wine club growth, and brand loyalty.
- Drive wine sales, average order value, and membership conversion through active coaching and personal performance
- Ensure every guest interaction is personalized, memorable, and aligned with the brand standards
Team Leadership:
- Hire, train, and develop tasting room staff with a focus on hospitality, storytelling, and sales execution
- Provide consistent, real-time coaching on the floor to elevate individual and team performance
-Create a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high standards
- Manage scheduling, staffing levels, and performance conversations
Operations Management:
-Oversee daily tasting room operations, including opening/closing, cash handling, and service flow
-Maintain a strong presence on the floor, leading by example during peak service times
-Ensure operational consistency, cleanliness, and attention to detail
Performance& Business Management:
-Monitor and drive key metrics, including sales, conversion, visitation, and guest retention
-Partner with leadership to support revenue goals and optimize performance
-Use POS and reporting tools to track results and identify opportunities
Admin & Partnerships:
-Manage inventory, order entry, compliance, and customer issue resolution
-Build relationships with local hotels, concierge teams, and partners to drive qualified traffic
-Support events, member experiences, and initiatives that increase visitation
Key Qualifications
-3–7+ years in hospitality, wine, or sales leadership
-Proven ability to drive sales and membership conversion
-Strong leadership presence with a hands-on, team-first mindset
-Excellent communication and guest engagement skills
-Highly organized with strong attention to detail
-Ability to work weekends, evenings, and peak business periods
-Experience with eCellar POS system
-Must be able to lift and move 50–60 lbs. and remain on your feet for extended periods
