Position Summary: The Warehouse Forklift Operator is responsible for safe and efficient finished goods and material movement to support the distribution and production departments. This role serves as the primary forklift driver for the distribution department and works closely with the Inventory & Materials Lead to ensure all dry goods and finished goods are staged accurately and on time. This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, minimizing downtime on bottling lines, and supporting overall warehouse organization and safety.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
•  Operate forklifts, clamp, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
•  Load, unload, and move materials including glass, cases, labels, closures, and finished goods
•  Load trucks ensuring accurate weight distribution and apply airbags and dunnage
•  Stage materials for bottling runs according to production schedules and Leads direction
•  Remove finished goods from lines and transport to designated storage areas
•  Maintain and provide pallet counts and request to restock pallets
•  Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance issues
•  Work closely with the Inventory & Materials Lead to ensure all materials are ready ahead of production start times
•  Assist in line changeovers by moving and organizing required materials
•  Support bottling team by replenishing materials during runs to avoid downtime
•  Return unused materials to inventory and ensure proper storage
•  Assist with receiving, verifying, and storing incoming shipments
•  Maintain accurate inventory locations and organization within the warehouse
•  Support cycle counts and physical inventory processes
•  Ensure proper lot tracking and adherence to inventory control procedures
•  Follow all safety protocols, including OSHA and winery-specific standards
•  Maintain clean, organized warehouse and staging areas
•  Ensure safe stacking, storage, and handling of all materials
•  Report safety hazards, damages, or discrepancies promptly

Education and Experience:
•  2+ years of forklift operating experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or winery environment
•  Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
•  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and work on feet for extended periods
•  Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
•  Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
•  Familiarity with inventory systems
•  Understanding of bottling line operations and production flow
•  Requires ability to drive assigned vehicle(s) or personal vehicle, with appropriate state license, following all applicable laws; must provide proof of liability insurance and must be eligible to be insured under SB’s insurance policy.
