At Schramsberg Vineyards, craftsmanship, precision, and pride in every bottle define who we are. The Bottling Line Worker is an essential part of our production team, supporting the final stage of bringing our wines to life. This role contributes directly to the quality and presentation of every bottle that represents the Schramsberg and Davies legacy.
This is an entry-level opportunity offering hands-on experience across all aspects of bottling operations, including filling, foiling, labeling, packaging, and sanitation. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in producing work that reflects the high standards of a world-class winery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in the setup, operation, and shutdown of bottling line equipment.
• Operate and monitor assigned stations, including filling, corking, foiling, labeling, and packing.
• Maintain consistent workflow to support daily production goals and timelines.
• Inspect bottles to ensure quality standards are met, including fill levels, closures, label placement, and overall presentation.
• Remove and report defective products to maintain product integrity.
• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment and work areas to uphold winery standards.
• Handle glass, packaging materials, and finished goods with care to minimize waste and breakage.
• Support minor equipment adjustments under the direction of the Bottling Line Supervisor.
• Rotate between stations as needed to support team efficiency and production flow.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors in a collaborative production environment.
• Follow all company policies, quality expectations, and workplace procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education and/or Experience, Skills, Physical Demands)
• Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly in a production environment.
• Strong attention to detail, especially when performing repetitive tasks.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills to complete production logs and follow written instructions.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and alone.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Previous experience in winery, production, warehouse, or bottling environments.
• Forklift experience or willingness to be trained and certified.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• This may include overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shifts (day, swing, etc.).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK CONDITIONS:
• Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods (typically 8+ hours per shift).
• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Perform repetitive motions including bending, twisting, reaching, and grasping.
• Work near moving machinery in an environment with noise, vibration, and glass.
• Ability to work in varying conditions, including hot, cold, wet, or humid environments.

PAY TRANSPARENCY DISCLOSURE:
The pay scale for this position is $19.50/hr. These figures represent what we expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend on numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to: candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and market alignment.
