Summary
This is fundamentally a sales role focused on driving direct-to-consumer revenue while delivering exceptional hospitality. The associate builds genuine relationships with guests and members, converts them into sales, and nurtures long-term loyalty. Responsibilities include mailing list outreach, direct offer management via Offset (POS/CRM), DTC shipping compliance via Sovos ShipCompliant, and coordination with fulfillment partner M7.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Sales & Member Outreach
• Drive DTC wine sales through tasting room interactions, mailing list outreach, and direct offer campaigns
• Build and execute direct offers in Offset, including order processing, response tracking, and member follow-up
• Grow and maintain the mailing list through guest engagement, accurate data entry, and proactive outreach
• Respond to email and phone inquiries professionally using Accendo’s brand voice; maintain detailed customer notes in our CRM.
Compliance & Fulfillment
• Ensure all DTC shipments comply with applicable state regulations via Sovos ShipCompliant
• Coordinate order fulfillment with M7, including order submission, tracking, and issue resolution
• Assist with order entry, inventory management, and packing as needed
Hospitality & Guest Experience
• Host tours and tastings at Wheeler Farms and in our vineyards in a thoughtful, sales-driven manner
• Manage guest experiences with warmth and elegance — keeping events on schedule, monitoring wine service, and handling set-up and clean-up
• Support all hospitality activities from intimate tastings to dinner events; adapt fluidly to team and guest needs
Qualifications
• 2–5 years in direct sales, wine club, or customer-facing hospitality; highly allocated wine or luxury brand experience preferred
• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in a relationship-driven environment
• Experience with POS/CRM systems; Offset or similar a plus; Sovos ShipCompliant familiarity preferred
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with superb presentation
• Energetic, self-directed, and collaborative; thrives in a small team with shifting priorities
• Available to work weekends and holidays; ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Work Environment
Work is performed across the office, tasting room at Wheeler Farms, including indoor and outdoor settings with seasonal conditions. Occasional winery/cellar environment exposure may occur.
