Company Snapshot:
The Caves at Soda Canyon is a boutique custom crush facility in Napa Valley, specializing in hand-crafted, small-lot wines. We produce 200–250 tons annually (with plans to expand to 400 tons) and collaborate with over 15 clients. Our winery offers interns a unique opportunity to work with 15+ grape varieties and gain hands-on experience with diverse winemaking techniques.

Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Cellar Master and the Production Manager, this position will perform a wide variety of skilled cellar duties that require previous experience. Applicants should have a solid knowledge of winery cellar operations and experience with winery tools and equipment. In addition, this position will need to offer guidance and leadership to seasonal interns during harvest.

Cleaning and sanitizing all winery equipment and facilities
Properly setting up and using equipment
Safely using forklift to move barrels, bins, and cased goods
Handle barrel cleaning, sanitation, receiving, tracking, filling, and racking.
Racking, blending, and transferring wines
Pulling samples
Performing winemaking additions both during and after fermentation
Keeping the cellar and storage areas organized and tidy
Follow safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team member’s safety.
Other duties assigned by Cellar Master or Production Manager

Job Requirements
- Self-motivated and reliable with deep pride in the quality of work produced.
- Capable of performing the assigned work with little or no supervision.
- Flexible with scheduling and available to work overtime as needed, particularly during harvest.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- We require minimum 3 years of experience in a cellar environment.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts.
Able to sit and/or walk and stand for most of the day.
California Driver's License (Required)

Compensation
$23–27/hour, commensurate with experience.
Paid time off (PTO), and wine discounts.
