Position Description: Director of Hospitality

Position Summary
The Director of Hospitality leads all hospitality operations, including Guest Services, Concierge, and Events, with accountability for service standards, team performance, and direct-to-consumer revenue. This role reports to the Director of DTC (top DTC leader) and drives execution of hospitality strategy, team development, and operational consistency while ensuring alignment with company financial and brand objectives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Operations
•  Provide direct leadership and oversight of Hospitality Managers, Guest Services, Concierge, and Events teams.
•  Establish and enforce service standards to ensure consistent, high-quality guest experiences.
•  Oversee daily hospitality operations, staffing, and scheduling to align with business demand.
•  Lead recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training of hospitality team members.
•  Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all hospitality functions.
•  Conduct performance management processes including regular check-ins, 90-day reviews, and annual evaluations.
•  Lead team meetings to communicate priorities, performance expectations, and operational updates.
•  Oversee service recovery efforts and implement process improvements based on guest feedback.
Team Development
•  Set clear performance expectations and measurable goals for team members.
•  Partner with internal and external resources to support ongoing hospitality and wine education.
•  Train and certify team members across all hospitality experiences and service levels.
•  Foster cross-functional collaboration with Culinary, Events, Concierge, and Guest Services teams.
Business Performance & Revenue Management
•  Drive direct-to-consumer revenue through optimization of guest experience, conversion, and retention strategies.
•  Monitor and manage key performance indicators including revenue, average order value, conversion rates, and club acquisition.
•  Evaluate and optimize hospitality capacity, pricing, and experience offerings to maximize revenue and utilization.
•  Oversee execution and performance of hospitality events to ensure alignment with financial and brand objectives.
Reporting & Analysis
•  Analyze retail and hospitality performance data and provide regular reporting to the Director of DTC.
•  Review monthly budgets and P&L statements to ensure financial targets are achieved.
•  Ensure accuracy and consistency of data entry across POS, CRM, and reporting systems.
•  Utilize internal systems and external benchmarks to inform business decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
Experience & Qualifications
•  Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience managing hospitality teams and operations.
•  Demonstrated experience managing teams, driving performance, and achieving revenue targets.
•  Strong understanding of direct-to-consumer sales and hospitality operations.
•  Wine knowledge required; professional certification or coursework from recognized industry organizations preferred.
•  Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
•  Ability to work weekends, holidays, and variable schedules based on business needs.
•  Ability to lift and carry 40lbs, regularly climb and descend stairs, and regular squatting and kneeling as required in hospitality service.

Compensation & Benefits
•  Salary Range: $130,000 – $160,000 annually
•  Classification: Exempt
•  Bonus-eligible
•  Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k)
•  3 weeks paid time off
•  10 company holidays
