The Vice President of Sales Insights and Planning is responsible for leading the sales analytics team, driving strategic insights that inform sales strategies and optimizing performance across all channels. Leveraging their expertise in business analytics, business intelligence, data analysis, market trends, and sales metrics, they play a critical role in shaping our sales approach and enhancing decision-making processes.

This is a key leadership position that requires a deep understanding of sales operations and a passion for data-driven decision-making. This position partners with Sales, IT, Finance, and Marketing leaders, as well as Distributor Partners, to support the organization with insights used to improve results, increase transparency, and optimize performance.


What we will ask you to do:

Leads Sales Analytics and Acts as Key Analytics Thought Leader. Partners with senior leadership across the organization to identify business challenges and opportunities, and translate them into actionable, integrated, data-driven solutions

Leads, mentors, and develops the Sales Analytics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth

Assists team in the preparation of data and insights to support executive-level decision making and sales/marketing leadership meetings

Proactively identifies key performance metrics and proactively flag leadership when action is required; works with team to perform root cause analysis and makes actionable recommendations to management

Leads Depletion and Distribution Analysis, & Reporting Leads team of Sales Analytics Managers and Analysts to provide depletions and distribution insights to the sales teams, ensuring this team acts as trusted analytics partners to sales and drives identification of risks and opportunities

Leads cross-functional development of shared Sales, Finance, and Marketing analytics dashboards.

Continues outlook to fill in opportunities in the market that drive growth.

Leads Category Management function to develop leading class insights for Sales, Distributors, National Accounts, and Marketing Partners with National Account Sales leads to develop detailed National Account annual, and long-term Integrated Business Plans

Leads strategic focus, analysis, and material development (in partnership with Sales and Trade Marketing) for National Account pitches, leveraging superior storytelling and all available data



What you will need:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

10-15 years experience in data analytics at both the leadership and technical/operational levels.

Demonstrated leadership experience, willing to coach, develop and mentor a team.

Ability to translate business objectives into goals and measurements.

Ability to communicate complex concepts in ways that sales leaders and other functions will understand.

Experience with IRI/Nielsen data and metrics required.

Advanced analytical skills, including comfort manipulating and analyzing large datasets, experience building complex and dynamic Excel models.

Deep familiarity with BI/visualization tools (Power BI preferred).

Experience with business planning tools (Anaplan preferred).

Familiarity with data infrastructure and ability to write queries for data validation (SQL preferred).

Ability to independently drive planning, analysis, collaboration, and communication for complex analytical projects.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive change at all organizational levels.
